The programme is taught by an English teacher who has extensive experience with bilingual children.
The children develop confidence in core language skills through reading, writing and performance activities. Lessons include key points of grammar as well as analysis of age-appropriate literature, writing for various audiences, and the use of narrative techniques.
The aim is for students, by the end of the year, to be at an equivalent level as their peers in an English-language school and have the possibility to enter an English-language Secondary school. Sign-up is therefore for a full year so teachers can work with the students to reach the set objectives.
