Message from the Head

Dear Parents,

On Tuesday we had a fantastic celebration of all things Francophone. At both campuses, our students celebrated the French language and explored the multitude of countries where French is spoken. Primary students danced their break away to French music in the playground and our Secondary students spent a part of their lunchtime competing for the honour of claiming the Kahoot quiz win of the day. It was a brilliant day and a tradition that we will continue each year! Many thanks to the French and languages teams across both sites for their enthusiasm, all the work that went into the preparations and in particular to Réjane Durey and Alexa Marett.

At Primary, we are coming towards the end of our curriculum reviews and Nicky Fortune and I will hold year-group focused presentations next week to elaborate on what this means for next year. Please do attend these if you are able: we are very excited about the new developments across languages as well as new additions including robotics and film and animation. The timings for each year group can be found in the calendar below.

New decisions regarding Covid restrictions have been announced today by the Swiss Federal Council and we will review these, as usual, looking at how they apply to our school operations. For our school community, especially with the upcoming Easter break, we refer you to the Swiss list of risk countries for which quarantine restrictions will continue to apply. Please review the list and the necessary regulations if you are planning to travel.

As usual at the end of term, we finish at midday (12:00 noon) across both sites on Friday, 26 March. The summer term starts back on Monday, 12 April.
The complete dates for the remainder of the school year and the start of the next academic year can be found under the relevant section of the website.

Have a great weekend,

Matt Williams

KS3 tutor group assemblies

Today Ms Robinson and Mrs Marett’s tutor group led an assembly to celebrate the International Day of Happiness, which takes place tomorrow,  20 March.

This was the first of our KS3 tutor group assemblies. Each tutor group will be asked to prepare and lead an inspiring and thought-provoking assembly to raise awareness about a topic of their own choice.

The assemblies are then presented virtually to the rest of KS3.
