Inspections for British schools overseas follow the framework and guidance for independent school inspection in England. ISI has extensive experience inspecting and supporting British curriculum schools in over 50 countries around the world and is approved by the UK Department for Education to inspect British international schools.
Judgements are made against a range of standards, which include the quality of education provided, the pupils’ academic and wider achievements, their attitudes to learning, the quality of the pupils’ personal development, and the effectiveness of governance, leadership and management.
Geneva English School is the only school in Switzerland that undergoes the rigorous inspection regime of the ISI.
